ASSISTED LIVING FAQs

Our assisted living communities typically offer personal care assistance, medication management, and help with daily activities such as dressing, grooming and showering. Please reach out to us if you have questions about specific types of assisted care you or your loved one may need.
Care needs are assessed prior to moving into our community. The amount and type of assistance your loved one is assessed to need will determine the care fees each month. Our nurses assess residents on a regular schedule to ensure they receive the care needed.

Our communities have 24/7 trained staff and emergency response systems. We call 911 and will notify the family of an emergency with their loved one or significant change in health.

Pricing depends on apartment size, care level, and amenities. Some of our communities have all-inclusive pricing, while others charge à la carte fees for additional services. Typically there are three types of fees at our community – the one-time entry community fee, the monthly rent and the monthly care fee. There may also be ancillary a la carte fees based on other services residents may want access to.

We welcome and encourage personal decorations and furniture. Amenities in the apartment include private bathrooms, small kitchenette, a mix of carpeting and flooring for accessibility and noise reduction, thermostats, emergency pull cords and more. Services include daily trash pick up, scheduled housekeeping and wellness checks.

Meals are typically nutritious and chef-prepared, with options for special diets (low-sodium, diabetic-friendly, vegetarian, etc.).If there is a specific diet or allergy you or your loved one have please call us – we can often work with you on a menu plan.

What activities, social events, and enrichment programs are available for residents?
Trustwell communities offer exercise classes, arts & crafts, outings, and social gatherings to keep residents engaged and active. Our communities encourage residents to be social.

Security features include 24/7 staff, emergency call systems, secured entrances, and programs to help reduce the chance of falls.

Trustwell communities encourage regular visits, participation in our monthly family events and other communications.

We can absolutely arrange that or feel free to drop by one of our communities for a tour and talk with our residents and staff.

At Trustwell, staff typically undergo ongoing dementia-specific training, including techniques for managing behaviors, communication strategies, and safety protocols.

Communities often have secured areas to prevent exiting from the community and use calming techniques like redirection, music therapy, or sensory activities to ease agitation.

Those Trustwell communities offering memory care often provide music therapy, art therapy, reminiscence programs, and brain-stimulating activities to help residents maintain cognitive abilities.

Individualized care plans are created based on medical history, cognitive level, and personal preferences, ensuring tailored support.
